Rocksberg Club Day
« on: October 12, 2007, 07:39:54 pm »
I was told that there aren't enough officials to run a meeting this weekend, so it is going to be a practice day instead. Can anybody confirm? Cheers

I spoke to Rusty today and it's an open practice kicking off about 9 with 20 min sessions for the different classes...Sounds good.

Rocksberg; what a great looking track!
The track winds in, up and out of creek beds and gullies, there are multiple drop offs and a huge hill; all carpeted with green grass and bugger all dust.
I was only observing/taking photos today but I intend to have a bike by the next time it rolls around.

Unfortunately it became a 'practice daĆ½' due to a lack of the necessary Officials. :-\
I didn't count the entries but it was a good turn out.

I reckon this part of the world is ideal old fashioned MX territory.
It reminds me of those Kiwi MX photos we see posted from time to time.
The man made tracks can't compare to natural terrain no matter how many trucks and bobcats are involved.

I'll send all my photos to Steve over the next few days so hopefully they'll turn up on the QVMX site.
I'll send a handful of the better shots to this site in the hope it will inspire more racers next time around. ;D
