Gidday All
« on: May 12, 2009, 10:27:27 pm »
Gidday All,
just a quick introduction of myself here, I'm too young to have ridden the bikes I have when they were new but I grew up with my much older brothers racing early 80's bikes, kind of burned into my memory these bikes now.

I've had fun building my 465 and have a few more projects on the go currently... unemployed due to this economic climate were in, but at least it's currently giving me some time to keep on with the bike projects.

Cheers!
Leslie

G'day Leslie and welcome aboard. Hope you enjoy the forum, there's plenty of characters and info here. Nice IT too! I'm trying to get an IT175G finished in time for CD6.

Gidday Leslie, nice paddock you're standing in. :D
Is that your place or just where you ride?
"Whadaya mean it's too loud?! It's a f*ckin' race bike!! That pipe makes it go louder - and look faster!!"

Gidday Wombat, that's Dad's Farm, great for the 465, flat as a billiard table 1 mile by 1/4 mile with not much in it. hardly a challenge and gets boring on the bike real quick, but great for high speed tuning runs and general tearing about on  ;D

Thanks for the compliments Graeme, took a few years and a bit of patience waiting for parts to surface. is still enjoyable finding parts too, since that pic was taken it's now got the correct bars, front indicators, grips, the 'H' model front guard, chain guard and a tool bag.. I fear it will never end and there's still more to do, there's some better parts still not on it yet too. aiming at close to showroom with either it or my spare one.

I've been a fan of the IT175's for a while now, wanted one when I had my DT175, still do  ::) one day..
Cheers!

Mate that is a very nice IT.You're right about sitting and waiting for parts to show though.Since the economic downturn has been running rife >:(,I've noticed more and more of these older bikes, and parts are starting to surface in the local papers, trading posts, etc. Its bloody sad that guys gotta sell their hoarded treasures to make ends meet though. :(
I used to drink a lot.
I still do,but I used to,too.
