This is a beautifully executed con to cash in on Steve McQueens name. Jerry Lisi scammed control of Metisse Motorcycles http://www.metisse-motorcycles.com/from the late Pat French and now he's trying to suck in gullible and rich American "collectors" by producing a "Steve McQueen Replica" which is nothing other than your bread and butter Triumph Metisse fitted with a set of ape hanger desert bars and a gunmetal grey paint job. At nearly $26,500 Aussie dollars it's at least twice the price of a non McQueen Metisse and I reckon my own Triumph Metisse project will come in for under 8k and be equally, if not better equipped. Steve McQueen would be disgusted.
