Husqvarna XC, CR or WR 250 or 360 engine
« on: April 17, 2009, 04:13:06 pm »
Looking for a 250 or 360 engine that wants a new home in my 1984 XC frame.
Always had the rolling chassis but never enough parts for a complete engine.
Engine doesn't have to be a goer - we'll attend to that.
Thanks Craig

You would want a 430 or 500 air cooled for that model wouldn't you?

JohnnyO,
The original bits and pieces sitting in the frame appeared to be water cooled plus it has got radiators.
From all reports I think that the 1984 models were in a transition year  - but that's only from what I have been told by people and I have no hard evidence.
I suppose I could go either way - air or water cooled.
430 sounds like a hell of a lot of fun.
Thanks

The 84 250 motocrosser was watercooled but the big bore and the WR's were still aircooled i think. Anyway the 430 is a great bike, i've had a couple of them both aircooled.

I would imagine the 430 would be an awesome machine Johnno.
Thanks for the info - all I need now is an engine.
Cheers
