the re 250 swingarm dose not run throught the motor ir runs through an alloy bracket that is held on to the engine mounts so you can remove the engine with out taking the swingarm off

I knew that, but if I did it like that the whole swing arm would have to come out, the way I did it, I left the bracket sitting and the motor lifted.
All fixed now, the donk will be back in soon and the beast will run soon.

Ive nearly got this thing nailed, I even had it running but oil was dripping out of a hairline crack on the front of the clutch cover and it had to be welded, now the f#ckin thing wont bolt back up without snagging the kick start spring, does anyone know how to keep the spring out of the way so I can bolt her up please?
New spring?

Try fitting up the clutch cover enough to then put the kickstarter on. Then push the kickstarter down which winds the spring up and makes it smaller

Not too much left to do, the clutch cable looks as if it has to go a different way etc and the brake master cylinder window is cracked so I have to find the right glue for the inside or replace it.

I thought I would let youse know how it ended up, I got a master cylinder off a 125 cheaper from the USA, the motor was rebuilt by me after it was bored to the last OS, it has had a bigger main jet, fork and shock service, new seat cover, front wheel rebuilt after spokes recromed, custom rear linkage bushes made up and hardened and the barrel looks like it has been ported to death by a previous owner, so far it goes good.
