Great idea. Unfortunately for him, i think it will be the wrong model , as the 83/84's would get more interest. I keep thinking , what a blunder Honda made. But the reality is that as far as Honda was concerned, they should be land fill by now.

I think the '81 is the same as the '83 also but it's the '84 that everyone wants.

81 82 250 had the left kicker the 125 from 81 82 had the same side chain but it changed in 83 im not sure about 84

'81 and '82 are the same except the '81 model was made from aluminium and doesn't suffer the same corrosion problems as the others. The '83 model is slightly different again as the the front hose fitting is set at an angle to clear the exhaust pipe. There is certainly a market for them but if Honda had any decency they would re-manufacture them just to make up for a design fault. All models from 1982 through to about '88 have the same issue.

Hi,

Have the same story from a wrecker when i was chasing a side cover for my recent purchase of a 83 cr 250 with a stuffed  cover.
Rang all the wreckers in oz to get a replacement with not much luck.

That price looks right.
