1977 YZ 250 & 400 Frames (Are they the same?)
« on: March 16, 2009, 12:22:01 pm »
I was wondering if anyone can help me. I have just bought a YZ400D. Frame is stuffed but everything else is ok
Is the 1W3 YZ250 frame the same as 1W4 YZ400 Frame? (obviously except the frame no) I have a good 250 frame I could use, however I don't want to change them over if they are not the same?

If they are not, can anyone help with a YZ400D Frame?

Thanks for reading.

According to my ZEDDER software (and my mate's YZ250D manual) ARN is spot on

Part # = 1W4-21110-00-33
Part Description = FRAME COMPLETE YAMAHA BLACK
Model Count = 2
YZ250D 1977 250 YZ250 Competition Motocross
YZ400D 1977 400 YZ400 Competition Motocross

Thanks guys, I was confident they should of been the same but needed some reassurance / conformation before I rushed in.

Now the fun begins, I think.

Cheers
