Dave, I have the first HVA to be imported into Australia, which was in 1965...it was the only Husky imported in 1965..I also have a 1966 and a 1967 .....The only other bolt up frame bike that was around was the 1966 360 ( first one in to OZ)..and the bike that Matt Daley rode which was a private import..not imported thru the Australian importer at the time...

The 67 Viking in the photo above is a 360, i was aquired the motor, frame and various items from Hans Applegren,it was sitting on the floor of their workshop for years Hans was not sure of its history, but he said it was they had it for many years, I restored it last year. It was a mission to track down the correct parts, which Vintage Husky in the US was a great help . I know Mainly Maico has a 67 250 (i think it is for sale), there is one in the Gong which is a 67 250, and there is another 250 in Sydney that is Matt Daley's motor in a 69 frame, the frame sold to someone in WA, the guy is restoring it now. I know of another 67 in Sydney but unsure if it is a 250 or 360. Scott Boyd had two of Matt Daley's bikes at CD6 i can't remember if they were both 250s, one 250 was a square tail frame i think it was a 65 or 66 ( i might be wrong on that) and i am pretty sure the other was a 67 360. Very little difference between them, mostly the tank, swing arm and exhaust, and minor frame differences.
Super bikes to ride, better engineered than some over weight, oil leaking, pommy lump of iron ;D ;D ;D

Picked up my husqvarna cr 250 1967 model last night, got home about 12.35 pm, the bike looks good, l was told buy the previous owner when l bought the bike that it was restored, his restoration and mine have too meanings, but their again, i will improve as we go.
can anybody tell me, the bike has mudcatcher rims, but l have a spare wheel steel rim with a full circle hub laced in it as well, what sort of rims did these bikes have from 1964 - 1967. my memory is not so clear. I have been studing photo`s in vmx and google.
thank you
