XR75 front tyre
« on: February 04, 2009, 06:53:15 pm »
Hi Guys
Can anyone help me with a NEW 16 inch Front Knobby Tyre for an XR75? I don't want a chin shin as the tyre patern is horrible and i don't want to import from the States if i can help it as the Aussy Dollar has dropped of the scale (cant understand why as we are one of the strongest economic countries around???).I am almost finished restoring a KO so if anyone can help that would be great.

Hardex Try Older Honda dealers away from the cities, Found two genuine Trail wing /Inoue 250/275 16 inch fronts (One knobby one trail) late last year just passing though a town. Both NOS $ 12 each. Sorry I have used both. Cheers Tim  Great little bike Resto but don't be afraid to ride it too for real fun! ;)

I may not agree with what you have to say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it.

Hardex, get your local dealer to get you a Bridgestone, they still do a 2.50x16 in a decent pattern. i cant recall the exact model but i know my local dealer has them in stock and i could find the model for you if you wish.

If you are after an NOS original (INOUE) tyre good luck rare as rocking horse crap, or you can use an IRC 250 x 16, comes standard on XR/CRF80 that's what I use on my XR's.

Hi Guys.
Thanks for your responses and I now have it organized.
Hi Greenstripe 250 yes I will put a photo up when it's complete and Tim 754 ,I am 6ft 4inch tall so riding this bike is out of the question. When I raced them back in the 70's I was a little smaller and I haven't forgotten how much fun they are. Thanks again to everyone .
Cheers ;D
