changes to nepean track layout. nmsc has gone for a change in the track, early stage yet. the track has now got a kink in the start straight similar to the original layout in 1959 when starts were made from the control tower in the middle of the main straight..This "kink" means that the speedway bend tightens up and leads into a slight right hander then leads into the slightly tighter left hander. this left hander will still be known as "turn one" because the starts will have a direct straight line to turn one and not use the "kink" until the riders come out of the speedway bend after completion of their first lap. Importantly THIS SATURDAY 14th is a practice day so it would be benificial to all to go and give it a try before the the first meet of the year and comment if appropriate..note these observations are mine as a rider, i am not part or connected to nmsc and have not had input or influence on these changes and remain open minded. cheers wally.
