« on: January 28, 2009, 02:05:05 pm »
Can anybody help me out with some discs and end cap for old style Supertrapp muffler on a 77 model tt500, lost them last race meet and need to get bike ready for Jack Hogg. Thanks Mark. Want to replace with down pipe eventually, where do I get complete exhaust for Dirt Track. Thanks Again.

Yeah, I reckon it would sound real nice as it is.  :D
Try ShowandGo in South Aussie ....they have a web site. I know they sell what looks like the old style Supertrapp mufflers and I think the discs etc as well

Probably best to buy the 4 Stroke Core Kit rather than individual parts.

If you only need disks and the end cap then you can buy just paks of disks either 6 or 12 at a time.

I make my own end caps using about $10 worth of stuff from a Stationary Store or Newsagent.
A chrome 'ding' bell for a counter is the right diameter.
Find a paper spike that is an interference fit over the bell and cut out the center.
The rounded chrome end cap looks really trick!

I just emailed Show & Go re some SP parts and the parts I need to set the Mikuni carb up. And got a very short reply just saying "nothing for SP370, it's too old"
And when I asked about Mikuni carb parts, they just said "don't know the jetting specs"
Bit of a worry when they're supposed to be Mikuni specialists.  :D
Better try Ian Williams Tuning like LWC suggested, I think.

edit: Ian Williams got straight back to me and is only too happy to help if he can.  ;D

Sorry........... back to the Super Trapp discussion.

Thanks for the Info and offers of help, but I`ve bit the bullet and ordered a flash down pipe set up from the States, hopefully it gets here in time.
