PE GURUS, I have started to troubleshoot a no spark issue, so far I have changed plug and coil with known serviceable components, disconnected kill switch to eliminate stray earth and am down to either the magneto or the CDI Unit. Does any-one have specifications for the winding resistance and a method to test the CDI? I am not familiar with the PE range and have not any publications on the type. From experience it usually does no good to grab a spare CDI from the wrecker unless you can verify the condition of the item first, but if any-one specialises in post 80 PE's and can spare a CDI for troubleshooting I would appreciate a loan if the magneto tests OK.
