I have spent some time on this project. Essentially reproducing high quality Tank Decals for what should be the 1983 YZ250K and YZ490K.
We looked at the supposed original on a bike. The kind that bubbles.
We looked at Microfiches (or .PDF files nowadays)
We looked at USA and Euro sites
We looked at any brochure we could find.
Looked at the sticker market.
Ultimately, we do not know that we even have the right design, and quite frankly don't care too much. The cost (100's) to get this sticker, I am more than happy with what I got. The tanks will look good again.
