The white tank 414VG's  seem only to be sold in Spain., certainly all UK 414vg's have yellow tanks, (that i have seen).

Yes that was him , a nice bloke , we built him some shocks  and he picked the revs by vibrations . But he always hade a big grin when he sat on the bike.  He lives in Ballarat too . And he knows Greg Flood , because Greg introduced him to me in Kyneton.

Walter. That wasn't the deaf chap was it? Other than him I dont know anyone else :-\
That might be the problem Sandy. I may have been looking in all the wrong places! Maybe the Ozzie ones had yellow tanks as well.......
Bloody Lyall picked a good time to fall off the perch!

Ross, as i am sure you already know, but only surefire way to tell a 414VG apart form serial # is the double allen bolts on the triple trees or assimetric front brakes,   Unless they been changed of course!!!  ::)

Monty Chaps,

Is it still possible to get engine parts such as piston kit or big end for one of these units?

If so can you point me to where?

All the best Pete

Solo Montesa(expect a wait and cross everything) has parts for these bikes, Rocky Moutain Montesa May have aswell. The best place to try first would be Jared at South West Montesa as he is well priced with good shipping and gets it right!!!

Cheers
