WTD: fork legs for Honda SL175
« on: October 14, 2008, 12:50:06 am »
I need a pair of fork legs for my Honda SL175. I could make do with a really good pair of stanchions of a 65-73  CB175 or CL175. Those are 19" long, 31mm OD and 24mm ID. I can find the SL175 sliders off a rusted pair of of forks....
Anyone?
Cheers,
Joe

Hi jhovel:-

Have a pair of forks off a very early SL350, the diameter is 30mm, and the legs have lugs on them for a low-mounted front guard. The tubes have some surface rust between where the top and bottom triple clamps mount, but are okay where the seals ride. The fork legs look okay.
Sorry, can`t send a piccie of them, as i have yet to master that.

Hi Johns,
I am very interested to talk to you about these. Please forward your e-mail or phone number by private message or to joe.hovel AT bipond.com
Please re-measure the fork legs for me though - the SL350s had a different top clamping arrangement and started at 33mm diameter. All
SL models had the lugs for low mounting of guards (but never came out with that option fitted).
Cheers,
Joe
