A bit of a query really.  8)
Wondering if you have ridden on paper pulp or woodchip mixed VMX tracks and how they weight up to the so called normal VMX tracks.
Do you get more traction or just a soft landing.  ;D
whats your favorite dirt/mud.   ???
cheers alison
Best is in the West !!

Paper pulp and/or woodchip is mixed into the track to retain moisture to aid traction and reduce dust, Black loam is my fav, nothing like riding on a rail... ;)

The Canberra track put some 'organic material' down a couple of years back. At least some of it was woodchips (or something similar - never really stopped to have a good look...).

From a rider's point of view, it worked really well - seemed to make the surface quite grippy and consistant (ie: it stayed damp without too much effort on race day, unlike the original stuff that always seemed to be either too dry or too wet).

Everybody loves the moist, dark loam, esp if you find it under nice fresh grass. Can't say that I've seen that very often, esp lately...

The good thing about telling the truth is that you don't have to remember what you said.
