mikuni carb repair

i,ve broken off one of the float pin lugs , but i have just seen the other one has been broken before and has been repaired with a machined up lug attached to the body with a 3mm threaded rod , half in new lug half in carb/remaining lug , was this a bought repair kit or would it hahe been made up by someone ?

I had trouble with those float pin posts on a four cylinder.broke the first one gently tapping it out then had the idea of a bit of heat with the heat gun.Used the owners  heat gun and promptly melted the solder out of the floats apparantley it was an industrial heatgun with much more heat than my own

anyway we made a new post up that was captured by the float valve setup and with one new float it ran for quite a few years in a speedway racecar.
