They are like rocking horse poo. There no one source of Monty parts i've been able to find in Oz. I pick these up at CD5 from the Victorian Bully dealer. I'm 99% sure these were 'one offs' in his stock but you could ask.

Generally you just ask around and chase the leads. Jared did have them and when I last spoke to him about them  he was chasing up suppliers. Talk to him and see where he's at.

MXM did have a web site - use Google. Also Stanfords in UK. Maybe Don Newell. Maybe Ross has a Spanish contact.

I think Ross had the yellow/black stripes done.  It also appears that after some months,
MXM is back in the tank stripe business.  They are advertising tank stripes on their website.

Hunting and following leads is the key, I spent probly 4 times as long chasing leads for my resto then it did to put togeather.  Many hours of neting and talking on the phone to get all the parts you will need.

 I got told at the start of my resto, that I would have more chance of jesus walking through my living room then putting the monty back togeather in one pce with the correct parts. But I have managed to do it with alot of help from diffrent people and suppliers.

How did you do that K? Did you take a sample and ask them to copy or did you show pixie and give measurements? How much did it cost you?

I'm thinking it might be prudent to make a copy as a spare before I fit them to the tank (shortly).

What's the trick with these decals?  I'm in the process of getting my tank painted, and will follow the process of
1/  red coats
2/  gold lettering
3/  clear coat

Should the decal go on before or after the clear?

I had the local sign guy copy a set of spares I had. They are "layered" in three separate pieces in ultra thin vinyl and are BEST suited to be clear coated over. I have done a couple of tanks now and no one has protested the decals. I clear coat over all the decals on all the tanks I do, because the decals never come off and at the end of each race season a quick soapy sand, and a couple of new coats of clear and she's good to go for another year.
