The entire transmission is different than from the mx version.
Don't see any parts that could be used for the mx trannie.
Even the shift forks are different!
For anyone interested, here are the different ratio's.
250H                VB250
1st-2.40            1st-1.83
2nd-1.61           2nd-1.42
3rd-1.20            3rd-1.12
4th-0.94            4th-0.94
5th-0.78            5th-0.80
6th-0.65

There is a 5speed 54M box tho. Apart from wide ratios, esp between 1st 3 gears, I tho't it was similar design to 73M

Enduro 5 speeds (tapered countershaft) do share the following with the mx gearbox.
Selector shaft
shift forks
slider discs
countershaft (pre 76)
as well as some other small bits.
Primary shaft is different as well
as all the gears.  The basic design is the same.

just split my vr250 engine
gearbox and selectors perfect 8)
it was locked up in gear  :'(
couldnt move it when i split the cases
they sprung apart about10mm under pressure
so i have now reshimmed gearbox
and assembled both clutch and countershaft  shafts
have slight end float now
bolted together looks ok i hope :-\
not the best setup i have seen for a gearbox and kickstart
so hopefully all will be ok
this is the first time i have done this motor previos owner done it twice and still did not fix it  doh ::)
keep you posted ;D ;D
