Husqvarna headlight help
« on: November 16, 2020, 08:50:09 pm »
Are there any Husqvarna experts out there that can help me here?
I am trying to find the part number of the rectangular headlight insert used in this 88 or 89? WRK 125 model so i can see if they offered this light in 2 versions. 1 for LHT and 1 for RHT. Did they ship bikes to UK and Australia with different headlights? I am pretty sure this model uses CEV 254 and 253 light insert but my problem is i can only find the 254 (which is a H4 i believe) in RHT version and the 253 appears to be universal for both LHT and RHT as i cant really see a difference in the glass on one side but it only uses a BA20D globe and i prefer H4.

What are some Husqvara parts sites with old model catalogues? or sites that have download PDF's that have this headlight in it?
Thanks

This is the CEV 254 (H4 globe i think) but problem is it's for RHT

I think only 125 had this light. I will try BIGK thanks.

I did a little more research and i think the 254 actually is not H4.

261 is H4 but appears to still be for RHT even though it was fitted to the Acerbis Baja and Africa lights which were sold in Australia and it does not appear that they sold those lights with a LHT version of CEV 261 so who ever bought those lights here back in the day as aftermarket lights had wrong beam patterns ::)

86/87 Honda NS125 also uses this same light unit, some markets have the 254 but i have not found solid info of a LHT version in H4 sold. Switzerland got the 261 H4 same used in aftermarket Acerbis light and that looks like RHT type to me.

Best option i can find so far which is BA20D and universal  for LHT and RHT

Maybe the Husky parts book has the magic info i am looking for. So far the online 87 WRK parts book i found only had  a round light listed.
