« on: August 30, 2008, 01:13:03 pm »
This might be a long shot but back in my day 77 a Auzzie tuner named Frank Pons had the "secret" wepon type porting for Rm 125's . I rode a bike with one of his barrel jos back then and it was much quicked than our loxcal poting hotshot jobs, does anyone have the specs he used or a barrel done by him I could get measured
 Thanks
If in doubt ,WIND IT OUT

You were right Firko a cool guy very plesant to talk to , Unfortunatly he is no longer doing engine work and like the rest of us has only a fuzzy memory of what was done back then . so if anyone has a barrel done by him I still need the info if possible. thanks

I'm reasonably certain there was an article in an ADB from back then about an RM125 (B or C I think) which they sorted and that included a port job by Frank. I'll have a dig arouind later and see if I can find it.

Page 30, July/August 78 issue. Includes a nice diagram of the port work as well. I'll scan it in.

[Edit]
OK, here's the scan. Page 1 is just some words, this is the bit you want.
