18th this year
« on: February 15, 2018, 06:10:30 pm »

When will they try to do something about it.  Heard on the news this morning another school shooting in USA, 17 dead plus more injured.  They reported that this is the 18th school shooting so far this year. Is that possible?  I have never been a shooter or owned a gun and before I get jumped on by those who do, I don't believe in completely disarming the population either but the weapons available in USA are mind blowing.  This kid had weapons that should not be available to the public including smoke grenades, stacks of ammo and I assume, at least one automatic gun.
I know the American constitution allows the population the freedom to bear arms but I wonder when it was written.  Did they think that guns would ever evolve into the types of weapons produced and available to US citizens today.

I think the school teachers need to start carrying hand guns to take them out before the cops turn up ( time is a big factor )
And the schools need to profile these out casts , loaners before this happens for prevention I say some of these shooters have been builled and it’s a revenge time.

20 times more weirdos means 200 times more reasons to ban automatic weapons or at least make it harder for them to get their grubby hands on them.
Florida gun laws are a joke
No register of weapons
No licences needed
No background check on gun sales
No restrictions on mag sizes
Can carry concealed weapons, hand guns, tazors, knives even friggin teargas but no machine guns.
Ok to have assault weapons.
And then the gun lobby wonders why some antisocial loser like this arsehole uses his legal weapons to kill and maim some poor bastards kids.

Apparently there's been some 270 school shootings in the US since about 20 six year olds were killed at Sandy Hook elementary school. And you can still buy a f-u-cking assault rifle for 500 bucks.

Business is good I guess.

I saw a vid that explained the number 18. Several were misfires by guards into the ground, one was a suicide in a closed school, one was a ricochet from somewhere outside etc.

This vid said that there were only 3 that were intentional, the last of which was this week. Which is still far too many, but it makes the source of any news item, for either side of the argument suspect IMHO.

Well it's happened again.  The media tonight said this is the 42 shooting so far this year.  I did a Google search to check how many actual shootings where students and teachers were targeted and this is only 8.  So we think that's not to bad just a media beat up, until you realise that in those 8 shootings there was a  total of 32 killed and nearly 40 wounded.  This is insane.
Why can't the AMA and the US government see that there needs to be a reduction in the availability of automatic and semi automatic weapons.
I have heard all of the arguments about why they should allowed to have them, but it's all bullshit.     Ask the families of those kids.

Scary headline I saw earlier today was that there have been more students killed this year than servicemen, if that's correct it is a really bad state of affairs considering how many wars the states are officially & unofficially fighting
