Not VMX but still Fun
« on: October 02, 2017, 04:31:11 pm »
I have always been keen on bikes from the 60s, especially the following models.

1968 BSA Victor Special
1968 Suzuki T500 Cobra
1964 Yamaha YDS3C Big Bear Scrambler

I had the BSA from new, but winter in Wodonga soon had me in a car!
I know they are all rare, but I'm looking for a project, so who knows?  Must be out there somewhere.  Be great to roll up to a meeting on one of these.

Richard Penna at the Hyosung shop (used to be yammie dealers) would be worth a call. also try Hyetts wreckers, bridge st Bendigo, there is a plethora of old shitters out the back, you might be in luck

Hyosung Bendigo have cleared most of their old Yams, just 1 x YD2 & 1 x YD3 left.  Most gone in the last year (sob).  I'll keep looking, something will show up.

mate bought a brand spanking new RD 350 from them....in 2001. they had stocked a few classics out the back over the years (still in the crates) they had just sold off a 650, it 400 and a triple 750 before the rd went. its a great little bike, mate has put about 3000 k's on it still shines like new.
