« on: August 15, 2016, 10:20:46 pm »
Does any make side number plates for 75 RM125 besides DC?

I assume that genuine suzuki ones are impossible to find now?

Hi Leith
Don't go with the DC yellow, it's not a good match. I used the DC opaque covers on my 125S to purposely make it look a bit different.

I have very good molds for S panels , you are welcome to use them if you have someone who can lay some up for you.

I have two sets, One set of dc plastics (Maybe seconds) & one set of originals, but these were sun fade and painted at some stage.

I brought a full set of DC plastic's for my S model.

Are you building a Show bike or play bike?

Open to offers!

I would not even put DC stuff on a 'play bike'. I bought some of their RM  fork guards and some oval plates but they were crap. Their yellow colour is not good either.

I have a nos set still in wrappers $AU750.00 inc postage

I know ridiculous price Blah blah blah  ::)

TBH i don't give a F&*K  ;D i have them for a one day resto , took me a long time to find them and i paid a lot for them .

Down side of originals is you really need to paint the guards and front board ( as they were ex factory ) to match the side panels.

As nice as the Vintage Suzuki plastics are the gloss finish would look wrong with the NOS panels , DC plastics colour is closer but still no substitute for painted originals .

Up side is you don't have to buy new plastics so save money there just refurbish and paint the originals .

Would be a waste on a racer but great for a 9 point resto

So putting them out there if someones keen so be it if not they stay on the shelf till i do the resto  :)

PM me or [email protected]

slightly off track - I have a second hand set of RMB 370 side number plates that need to go to a good home - don't have the bike anymore.  Will be honest - not sure if original or repro - hence they will be cheap.

Are you sure they are not 76-78 panels? 75 are unique to that model and have been discontinued years ago. Maybe they are remaking them? I would definitely order some if they are really 75 panels so please confirm when you receive them that they are not superceeded by the 76-78 ones or something.

I just checked partzilla  for '75 panels and got this

http://www.partzilla.com/parts/detail/suzuki/SP-47211-41000-019.html

http://www.partzilla.com/parts/detail/suzuki/SP-47111-41000-019.html

NLA so i dont know what you have ordered?????

75 panels are flat and dont have the buldge for the shocks or the air vents  like the later covers.

87 is a much newer model. These 1975 covers were discontinued years ago but i did check CMSNL just now just to make sure. Its the same deal with PE fenders and headlight plastics. Suzuki has not made this stuff for years.
