'74-77 DT250 forks & triples
« on: June 24, 2016, 11:49:26 am »
Hey guys,

I'm chasing a clean set of 34mm 74-77 DT250/360/400 forks & triple clamps for a dirt tracker build.
They've been quite elusive so far, just thought i'd take a stab here before looking into getting a pair from the states.

cheers.

What sort of condition are you looking for? I have a set from a 76' 400 and 250. I want to keep 1 set for myself but would be willing to part with the other set. Note - either set would need rebuilding and chroming.
85' Husky TE510, 83' XR250R, 76' DT400C, 81' XL500S, 85' XL250R, 80' XT250, 82' XT200.
Hmmm, What should I buy next?
In case you were wondering it was an 85' CR250R. Then a 76' DT250 and a 01' XR250 and it didn't stop there

Ideally i'd like a pair that don't need re-chroming. But finding a pair that are in nice original condition is proving to be quite difficult.
How much do you want & where are you located?

I chased around for ages for a good set for my 400 but had no luck. Good ones for those models seem to be extremely rare.

Sent you a message with more details.

if you want a pair rechromed J, i can ask pete hoey to dip a pair of mine, you can have the forks for free, just pay for the chroming and postage.  IIRC there about $250 to hard chrome.  Pete can probally also rebuild them while there apart for a few extra bucks with seal and oil etc.

Hey Freaky, thanks for the offer but i've just bought a set of forks & triples off Trokel510.
Do you mind passing on Peter Hoey's contact details? $250 seems like a good price. From what i've been reading they can usually run around $350-400 to be re-chromed.
Thanks again for the offer.
