he is riding an rt1!....and not falling off ...and its still got the 19" wheel on the thing!  big cheers wally.

It's a great shot from a couple of different levels. 1: The photo is super clear considering the equipment the photographer had at his disposal in the early 70s and the conditions he was under (heat and dust). 2: The bloke is riding a classic yellow stripe RT1, one of my all time favourite bikes and 3: It's in the Mojave desert, one of my all time favourite places.
Desert racers back then favoured the 19" front wheel because it supposedly tracked better in sand.
