YZ 125 1991
« on: June 28, 2016, 06:31:22 pm »
Hi there,

trying to get parts to get a YZ 125 running. Trying to work out of the YZ 250 and the WR 200 rear shock fits this bike. I can't find the length or details anywhere, but they look very similar

I'm also assuming that yz 250 parts are interchangeable up to 1993.

125 and 250 shocks are interchangeable.

Sorry Shane has started this thread under my name. His bike is a 91 model and has the fork on the bottom. My 94 250 has an eyelet so Im guessing the shock changed when the shape of the bike changed in 93.
88-92 125 or 250 YZ shocks will fit Shane.

I'm at the pointy end of my 91YZ125B resto and I've got an assortment of misc parts left over if you're looking for anything Shane.

I have a good YZ250D1 (4DA) shock here that would fit 1991 YZ125/250. I need a swap for a good 1996 YZ250 (4SR) shock.

The shock has very low hours and good damping, everything works as it should plus 92 YZ is equipped with the thermal compensation valve for reduced fading as the shock heats up.
