Leathers for PBBB please :-)
« on: March 10, 2016, 09:07:56 pm »
So this year I'm going back to Broadford for Easter after having a family holiday last year I've got a leave pass  :). No dirt bikes this year me and few other blokes have decided to buy some road bikes and give bitumen a go! ::)  I have had plenty of road bikes but never actually ridden a track so I'm really looking forward to punching out as many laps as i can  :) I could do with some leathers though as I've normally either ridden in nylons and the leathers that used to fit me kinda don't anymore!! ::) Has anyone got any sitting around doing nothing they'd like to part with?? Happy to pay anything reasonable, pants at a minimum. A suit would be good, maybe a jacket?? I take a 38 jean and a normally and Large to XL in t-shirts/jackets. Anything much appreciated. Cheers, Brendan

Who are you doing the trackday with?  If it's Champion Ride Days they will have leathers to rent for the day.  Last time I was there they were really good quality Joe Rocket suits
V8 SS Ute, ZX10R (x2 road & track), '87 Honda CR250

I picked up this 83 GSX750 recently for a song and figured it'd suit just fine, its not the most exiting thing to ride but very well mannered and smooth as silk, which pretty much suits my (lack of) rr ability fine  ;D Put some new boots on her today as even though the rubber was 90% there it had been "there" for a bloody long time!!!! Date stamps were both over 12yo and side walls had more cracks than a good porno, so she's pretty much right to go. I'll strip the lights/mirrors and tape up the breaky bits, then just hoping to have a bit of fun and offload it to a loving home, to be honest ill be more than happy to not even bring it home from Broadford!!   ;D ;D

Cheers, Brendan

Good on you! I've been planning on doing the same for a while, won't be this year though, maybe in 2017.

I did a track day at Broadford on an SV650S some years ago, and it was great fun, so I reckon you will have a blast. I'll keep an eye out for the GSX750, and hopefully you'll find some appropriate leathers and don't have to resort to this:
