Chassis a bit short for all that power.......the 250A are very twitchy with a much smaller engine.I was building the same bike as Eldridges a few years ago and canned it for the same reason.I had a 250A frame and 360B motor :-)

The A had more light weight parts over the B. Reliability was better with the B with the beefier parts.
Shift drum and gears has more holes on the A.

Am I missing something?
performance wise it would have been exactly the same as a 360 A

I been told the pipe is a Vintage Iron unit, the 250 has the same pipe.

They look like standard Yamaha pipes to me.
Typically pressed halves from Japan
Also I haven't noticed the cable mount near the carby on any aftermarket pipes except my own

Am I missing something?

This is where I'd like to point out my new-found maturity that allows me to not answer with phrases like "sex appeal", "IQ points" or "a running bike".
You're welcome.

Yes that 250 pipe is aftermarket for sure.
The jury is still out on the 360 pipe though as it has a Yamaha look about it.
Do you have any closeups of it?
