Honda cr crank tins
« on: August 10, 2015, 08:42:34 pm »
Just building another Honda and the tins have been removed on the crank

Has anyone ever replaced the tins?
I guess they serve as crank case stuffing so I am wondering if it would lose performance with extra crankcase volume?

From what I hear, if you fit the cans you will lose a lot more performance when the rod busts through the cases :o

Extra case volume is a good thing, if in doubt measure the volume and work out the crankcase compression ratio. The tin covers were never available separately.
