G'day from WA number 2!
« on: August 02, 2015, 11:16:57 pm »
just bought a Kawa 1980 KLX250 deathtrap for my daughter to ride whilst we're messing about in the bush as a bit of a hack, only paid $100 for it so needs a fair amount of work to make it safe never mind run!

swing arm bolt and spacer tube had rusted together and the bearings had failed along time ago but because of the seized bolt etc they never got changed, I tried heat, then welding a plate onto the spacer tube and trying to crack off the bolt all to no avail, ended up slicing along the tube which sorted the problem out but unfortunately I'm now up for a new bolt and tube as well as the bearings :(

anyway at least she'll be safer :)

Bit about me anyway, been in Hammond Park which is just near Fremantle in WA for about 4 years, came over with my job and liked it so much have decided to make it home.

I have a KZ750 cafe racer bike and another I'm doing up to sell, and when I'm not playing with bikes I'm tinkering with the car I made when I was back in the UK, it's a Locost 7 btw

anyway thanks for the add

cheers
