Not Vintage: Yamaha TTR50 Mods
« on: June 13, 2015, 02:34:33 am »
I just picked up a Yamaha TTR50 for my daughter to ride and possibly race in the 50cc Beginner Class (PW50,CRF50,TTR50,JR50).

Anyone here have their child or grandchild riding/racing one of these little Yamahas?  What mods do you suggest?

I was kind of amazed to find out these bikes are built in China, but since it is a Honda CRF50 clone I guess I should not be too surprised.  :o

Re: TTR50 Mods.

I recommend stripping off as much unnecessary gear as possible.

PS. My daughter is 22y.o. and in pretty good shape herself,
So this is (hopefully) not too Creepy or Inappropriate. 8)

cheers, DJ

No performance mods allowed in this class. If you want horsepower in this class now you can run the KTM 50SX with the 12" front wheel.
