Put a YZ465H hub and twin leader brake on it then it will stop [when it goes... ;D ;D]....Ted has one he doesn't use. ;)

Not for me J.T , mate has just bought a 84  500 with Husky wheel and hub and wants to put it back to original, and that Yamaha you talk about would need way to much work , bloody Possums got into it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
pre 84 thank you very much

Only problem with putting on brakes that stop ( Yamaha ) on a Maygo is that it will never be able to get up to the required speed.

I'd be interested in the husky brake if your mate wants to part with it. G

I have got a spare Maico (note correct spelling) hub and several backing plates.  Putting a Yamaha brake isn't straight forward you have to make an adaptor to making it work with the Maico fork leg.  You can use Yamaha forks but that is more cost.

The Maico Only backing plate and gripper shoes make the brake work pretty well.

Even if we stuff up at the start and let a Yamaha get in front I just bounce off them in the first corner.

The only way the Yamaha pogo sticks are faster is if put an illegal 490 motor in.
