TT500 1977 kick starter side foot peg ?
« on: March 26, 2015, 11:33:39 pm »
G'day viewers I have 1977 TT500 & on the kick starter side were the spline comes out.
For the peg arm to slide on is not straight from the frame.it goes off on a angle towards the ground.
Is this normal or is it bent ? I purchased the bike in bits & am slowly putting it back together. Jimson

It should be straight , I say someone has layed it over hard at some stage .
I have a few tt500s and never seen one bent down .
Maybe some heat on it and slide a steel pipe over the spline and bend it back up .
Is it cracked around the frame area next to the spline ? If so may need some welding done to it .

Thanks Mick these buys always look good until you start filtering through what you've bought.
Well should be good once it's all sorted.jimson
