In some dirt track meetings that I have attended EVO is just air cooled, no links, drums. This leaves it open for ALL twin shock and triangle mono's generally up to pre 85 which allows a lot of blokes to ride up with their older bikes.
If you make it an era then you will loose a lot of riders in this class.
Whats so wrong with mixing it with the older rigs, in mx their is not too many older bikes that can hang with what some would describe a a "genuine" evo bike anyway.
In saying that I do know of a few specials with aftermarket frames, billet triples etc, etc running in pre 75, if thats what you need to win then go for it, but it just makes it more rewarding when you beat them on a stocker.  ;) 8)
If at first you don't succeed, lower your standards.

bamford
there is no cross over with rules historic /classic road racing is for road racing only
i tried to get a conical rear hub (1968 triumph) passed for pre65 as they are allowed in pre62 road racing
ma knocked me back.there words were no crossover in rules.so to have a manx (mag)triump bsa(alloy) rear hub is ok in hrr but only the manx is ok as pre65 cdt/cmx
silly but they regulate the rules

:)
Can't argue with that.
I reckon I'll be up for at least one Pre-95 race.
The good thing about telling the truth is that you don't have to remember what you said.

ffs evo is not based on year models
if you want a rule change
approach your club
your club sends it to your state  sub committee
and then to ma . ffs ffs ffs  ftw al

FFS why then is the word period used in the rules?
