Vr engine and frame
« on: December 08, 2014, 10:13:32 am »
Hi all Montesa pro's did the Vr have matching engine and frame numbers as I have owned five of them in the past seven years and only one was matching :-*
I am still the fastest in the pits

It was normal practice for Montesa bikes to have the same frame number and engine numbers from the factory. The VR engine had a high production number (for Montesa) far high than actual VR bikes sold as a several batches were supplied to Rickman. The ones I have been involved in have had the same engine and chassis numbers. Having said that nothing would surprise me. Maybe Jarred will have more knowledge on the matter.

HeavenVMX is correct. Montesa's always had matching frame and engine numbers (at least when they left the factory!)
