seen those ones, there was a maico as well but didn't get a pic of it.  a lot of pride showing in there bikes. was a great eye opener .
My fastest lap is the first one :)

I can only see 2 pivots for a cam, could they be 8 shoes but 4 leading & 4 trailing??
Surely 4 leading shoes each side would need 4 shafts for 4 cams would it not?

I thought about this, maybe each side has 4 shoes with narrow shoes side by side and longer cam shafts with each working two shoes.  Maybe for cooling.

ps Greg Dalsanto on the P5 maico 440,
pommies did a ds4 leading front brake,see one you wont forget it!,that "MV" fronts gotta be ds twin leading,you can see the lower pivot point for front shoe,(& not enough actuating arms),the DS4L has 4 arms/levers each side :o

I still haven't found a image of a DS4L shoe brake but isn't it funny how after all that work the disc brake just made it obsolete.

When you see the size of some of those big drum brakes it makes you wonder why they didn't just make them slightly bigger & ditch the spokes

Same as above, they were built by Cerhan Mackay Automotive and distributed by Degens, who used them on a couple of his own Dresda Triton race bikes. John Cerhan was a noted specials builder in the 1970s, building Tritons, Vintons etc.
