CR80, good original bike. Sold.
« on: October 06, 2014, 09:02:55 pm »
SOLD SOLD SOLD
Got this as part payment on a car I sold, but have no real interest in it.

Haven't had it running, but it has compression and spark. It's fired, but hasn't started. Probably stale fuel.

Here's what I do know about it:
Top end is 47.25mm, no noticable lip or scoring in the bore.
No play in the big end.
Has spark.
Has compression.
No noticable slop in the main bearings.
All gears are there.
Chain and sprockets are at the end of their life (not rooted, but definitely not new either).
Front tyre good, rear tyre rooted.
Some slop in rear wheel bearings, not too bad.
Front wheel bearings, swingarm bearings and linkages all good.
No rust on shock shaft.
Pipe is dent free.
Forks leak, some rust up high.
Splines good on gear lever and kick-start.
Water pump seal leaks.

Overall, it looks like the bike has had an easy life. 99% sure that the bars, levers and LHS hand grip are all original.  Frame has been repainted and appears to have a police number on it (hence my uncertainty over the year model).

$500 or a close offer. If it doesn't sell, I'll spend some more time on it and re-advertise for considerably more.

Bikelocated in Yass, southern NSW. Can deliver to Melb in the next couple of weeks, Nowra in the next week and probably Brisbane late this week (but will need a firm commitment before Wednesday arvo).

On hold, pending transport arrangements working out.

Paul, yes, of course: 1986. I confused myself over the silver rims and the shroud sticker, but you're 100% right. :)
