Resistive plugs Vs resistive plug cap

On my Ts250x It has a resistive plug BR7ES listed as required and what looks like non-resistive cap , if I change the plug cap to a resistive cap can I run normal non-resistive plugs B7ES as I have a collection of varying ranges in this type.cheers Andrew

Thanks I thought it would be plausible but best to get a second opinion instead of a hole in a piston

I thought resistive plugs and caps were to suppress electrical noise and nothing else? Have I been wrong again all these years  :o Not sure it is going to make any difference to piston life.
