82-83 CR250 rim offsets

just in case you don't do tech talk,i need info as above,a straight edge off spool side & distance to rims required please, :P
work,the curse of the racing class!!

well lets try reverse physcology ::),(everyone likes to say when your'e wrong ;)),i centred the front,rears 15mm spool side,45 from sprocket mount face to rim edge on drum side,thats just where it wants to sit laced??, :P

Just mount it into the swingarm and see if it is nicely centered Mick.
Thats what I did with a PE I restored once - It wasnt quite centered so I loosened one side half turn on each nipple, then tightened the other half turn...

I kept doing that until it was spot on.

thanks Hardo,but as i do wheels for local shops/people/customers close to me,i just have the wheels,nothing else,the owners chopped the old spokes out,offset? what's offset ::),still need measurements people, :P

Hi Mick, sorry but been away & just got back home to check the rims for you. Assuming that I have measured what you want & how you want correctly (see pic below), then the meaurements are:

Front 25mm & rear 35mm. Thats measuring to the inside edge of the rim

1977 Yamaha YZ250D, 1977 Yamaha YZ400D, 1980 Yamaha YZ125G

BTW, thats not my hand in the picture, just in case youre wondering  :o

Thats the little bloke helping out in the shed & I was just the photographer. He worked out what data you needed, bloody smart ass kids,  LOL  ;D
