Was out riding with a couple of mates today (on modern bikes) and a few newbies to the group.  During one of our rest stops one of the newbies piped up that he just bought an 85 CR125 of a guy down the road for the princely sum of ....

$4.

Yep, $4.  He also got a spare one the guy had bought years ago for some parts.  Put fuel in it and it fired up on the 3rd kick.  Runs like a charm he says.

I asked him about magnesium corrosion and water in the gearbox ... nope, no such problem apparently.  So I offered to buy it from him for a 250% profit margin

Back when I was a Water tech went to do a service and noticed on old bike under a tarp leaning up against a shed, so when I was doing the paper work with the client I says so whats the old bike and what are you going to do with ? he say itsa CZ and was going to throw it down the dump :'( any who held me composure and loaded it onto the work ute and taked it home

Found another... SL125 wreck for parts last Monday, local, negotiated it for $40. Noticed a very overgrown 10ft by 5ft tandem axle tipping trailer in the blokes yard too. Yep I asked , to receive the reply it be say to me 'Yeah $40 ......  Took the deal not realizing the fella was going to pay me the $40 bucks as was to him a good deal to "get rid of those pieces of crap in the backyard!!!)
