Whats a good squish setup on a standard rm500D.
Can run race fuel if needed.

A graham Bell says 1.2mm. I would go a bit more depending on the engines condition, also consider Effective Compression.

Cheers for that. I was thinking abit more myself. I run my 300 at 1.2 so thought a little more would be normal.
The motor looks be be original. Will measure to see what it is.

Do you have a KTM300exc?
My 300 had about 2.3mm squish standard... soon reduced that

No, I have a TM300. Been running it with 0.9mm on race gas but am changing back to 1.2mm so I can run on pump fuel.
