K & N air filter
« on: June 05, 2014, 07:58:10 pm »

Hi All

I am chasing a K & N air filter. I am using one in my TM 250. It works well but I don't have a spare and it is a pain to remove and put back.
It has SU-30 stamped on it and us about 15 cm in diameter and about 6.5 cm wide.

Any ideas on finding a replacement I can't locate that model at all

Thanks.

Ken

I hope the attached photo works

K&N stop small rocks anything smaller than that goes straight through. Oiled foam is miles better

If your going to race MX and there's any sort of dust involved then you would run a million miles from a K & N filter....they do not stop dust period.....all they do it make more horsepower as they don't restrict airflow very much......engine rebuilds are dearer than a pain in the arse oiled foam filter. I have also seen the results of foam filters that have not been oiled....not pretty either. Unfortunately the best way is the dirtiest way, but hey, rubber gloves are cheap.
QVMX.....Australia's #1 VMX club......leading the way.

+1 to Lozza's and Davey's comments.
The good thing about telling the truth is that you don't have to remember what you said.
