it could look like a circle with two sides machined parallel. think its called adaptor E if its the same as on my small bore TS stuff.

 NLA 09940-34570

I use a length of water pipe with the end slightly flattened to sit over the top of the dampener rod.
Two parallel welded plates could also work. Unsure of the width ( mine seems to have gone missing again) maybe 11mm.i heated the end length of white plastic electric conduit in boiling water and sent that down the tube to get an imprint of what I had to grip to then made a metal one.

I have used a broom before but not with much success I have a rattle gun I have got some by compressing complete forks as hard as possible and trying the rattle gun so the springs hold a bit.

For some reason Tm forks are  "pesky" ( annoyingly troublesome )

I come to that conclusion pretty quickly that they may be pesky I didn't want to enter angry mode so I put them away till I got a few ideas it is a pain that attachment is nla should be able to make one fairly easy and refine it if need be when one is out.

Oldfart or anyone who has a working tool, if you wouldnt mind, could you measure the size and post?  I am in the same situation and am getting tired of randomly guessing  :P.  Otherwise I will have to do the plastic pipe trick to get the size.  Thanks!

Id dimensions    = width  19mm  and 24mm from top  curve to curve  being a 25mm radius.

The genuine Suzuki tools (some still available from Suzuki, go to Alpha Sport under Special tools) with similar dimensions to Oldfart's home made job and Pokey's genuine tool have the following dimensions:

To suit TS125/TM125/RM125M&S Internal AF =12.2mm, ID = 14.1mm, OD = 17.9mm

To suit 1976, 77,78 RM250/PE250 (36mm fork leg), Internal AF = 17.4mm, ID =24.1mm, OD = 27.2mm

There is another smaller tool with an internal AF of 8.2mm, I'm assuming this would be to suit the smaller fork legs like found on the mini bikes etc.

The later PE175 and 250's models have either a 19mm or 24mm internal AF hex shape in the top of their dampener rods. Best way to make your own tool is to weld a 24mmAF or 19mmAF nut on the end of a piece of tube.

FYI AF = dimension "Across Flats"

I made my own by cutting the open end of a spanner off and welding it to a tube that was the right size, 12mm one end, 14mm the other so you kill 2 birds with one stone...multi purpose and cheap.
