"two, small, symmetrical dents in the top of the tank"  They came out as standard on any HT, LT,AT,CT,DT, RT model Yamaha of the late 60s. early 70s

and tin tank RM's Ive got the nuts to prove it

My TMs might have come nice and neat with very rounded symmetrical lines -  they just went with added symmetrical indentations that broke those original lines ......... grapefruit sized indentations
