just a thought,
wouldn't that be taken care of in the front wheels drive unit rather than have to be making all new speedo units just for that years XL range?
id get an old speedo and hook it up and test it out because you would think honda would compensate for the 23" front wheel threw the speedo drive rather than the speedo it self.
most later model mobiles you can download the speedo meter app and check it against that as you ride.. my old xf the speedo would drop in and out and thats what i did when it dropped out was use that app till the speedo worked again lol.. i got my motard roadworthy and registered with using my phone as a speedo because i went from a 21" down to 17" front and the speedo read wrong but using speedo meter it give accurate reading and the oem dash was still fitted for the use of the turn signals, h/beam, neutral etc. as long as my bike had a speedo that worked and was accurate it passed both rwc & rego.

A good idea - I will try one to see if it works...
