tm suzuki kickback
« on: February 19, 2014, 10:48:47 pm »
my 1973 tm 250 Suzuki tends to have a habit of kicking back just prior to starting. if I give it a good kick and it wont fire invariably it will kick back.
Does anyone know what the likely problem might be and how to fix it.
Cheers Nipper.

Mine was doing the same thing a bit at the ice race last weekend.  Never has done it before so I was thinking it was the temperature, about 10F.  My best guess would be either fuel or timing.  I never bothered checking since it ran like a top once started.

Mine does that too occasionally, probably when I don't kick hard enough or follow through. Always starts straight after and runs fine.

Once the bike is running it runs just fine , I was thinking that it might have been in the timing of the motor, but wasn't sure.
