Tricked out 73 TM250
« on: February 06, 2014, 09:13:01 pm »
This project is as I bought it and it seems I'm never gonna get the time to finish it let alone race it someday, it is far from a "like new" resto as can be seen from pics. The fella I bought it from was simply trying to build the lightest, fastest tm he could. Engine cases has been extensively modified and according to the orig builder they are RH spec, I even have a bag of swarf to prove this. Most fittings are billet alloy, pipe is a very good home job and is painted in VHT clear coat, restored 125 tank, works perfor shocks, brand new excel rims laced to freshly coated hubs, stainless hd spokes, had tubes, rim locks, fresh kenda rubber. Massive carb fitted and compression ratio set to run on meth only, this would need to be reworked for mx I'd imagine but would be a bloody weapon on a dirt track. The only average thing on the bike is the forks, have love fender mounting points so assuming they are ts and not tm, also have been painted but cleared over too quick and have a crazed look, nothing world ending but worth noting I guess.
It is not running and that's how I bought it, I have done nothing other than look at it and wish I had more spare time and money!! Does not have a seat, comes with some spares and another engine in a box, parts in various states of repair. $2800 and it will come with a genuine NOS Gem reed cage set up as well. $2300 without rims or Gem reed cage but a set of good condition stock tm rims with Michi s12's fitted. Brendan 0439 109 two five four. Happy to dismantle and crate up for someone on here, this won't be offered for eBay bozo's should it end up on there!!! ;D
