Project B44 getting there
« on: January 18, 2014, 06:05:47 pm »
Its been a 3 month build but I think I'm nearly finished. Waiting for electrex ignition, alloy number plates, air filter and chain and the old beast should be on the track for 2014.

And a B44 with a rear brake pedal that actually works before it hits the ground!

And here is "Victor" nearly ready to leave the work table.

Every bike works better with some sort of airbox, so Victor needed one too.

Thanks guys. The shed isn't always clean I just get the urge to have a tidy up every now and then. Usually after or near the end of a project. It's a decent size shed alright. She loved the house, I had to have the shed  ;D One of the first things I did when we got this house was to build benches so I had places to stash stuff and a decent area to work on things. Most of it is all metal framed.
As for Victor, the bike will be doing the rounds on the east of Melbourne with VCM. I don't know how competitive the bike will be with me on it (currently 115kg) as it is a stocker apart from a GP cam and electronic ignition. Should be fun to punt around on though.

Cheers, Mark

Great work TBM, there's something kinda special about a B44. I bet you can't wait to get it finished.

Thanks guys. The Roadholders were on the bike when I got it, even though they were a mess, just like the rest of the bike.
I was very tempted to leave it in it's original patina as the bike apparently had some race history in South Aus but there was too much work to do to make it rideable for my liking so I decided on a complete Resto with a few race ready mods thrown in. It wore #77 if anybody knows about it.
Yep, I can't wait to get it off the work table, kick it in the guts and take it for a fang down the back of my place, but seeing as I need an ignition, I can't do anything with Victor just yet but wait for my parts to get here.
