engine oil
« on: January 12, 2014, 01:32:52 pm »
Is there any reason why I can't use a correct weight 4t engine oil as engine oil in a 2 stroke? I've got a bottle of it here but no 4 stroke to use it in. I can't see a problem?

Are we talking 4T engine oil in a 2T gearbox?.....that's OK, but not as a petrol mix for a 2T engine....read what you wrote. ???

"Engine oil" not premix oil. I did mention oil weight, should have been a clue?

Strong rumour BP ( the current owners of Castrol ) has tossed  caster based oils because of ..low volume.. sales
I may not agree with what you have to say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it.

wouldn't 8ow oil be too much drag compared to lesser weight oils designed to run in 2t gearboxes?
